Do You NEGU?
Ingrained in the fabric of Rancho Santa Margarita is the memory of Jessie Joy Rees, a brilliant, spirited young girl whose wish was to encourage every child fighting cancer to Never Ever Give Up (NEGU). Today–through the Jessie Rees Foundation–her motto resonates across 50 states and 32 countries all over the world, packed with love in a 64-ounce JoyJar. Revered as a symbol of hope, these JoyJars have touched the lives of over 160,000 children and their families affected by cancer all over the world. In the poignant words of Jessie’s father, Erik Rees, “We don’t cure cancer, we cure bad days.”
Santa Margarita Toyota (SMT) is proud to partner with the Jessie Rees Foundation to support Jessie’s mission in caring for every child fighting cancer and encouraging them to Never Ever Give Up. During our Summer of Joy event (June 2 – September 9), each donation made through us will contribute to filling and shipping over 1,200 JoyJars to children fighting cancer.
Once our drive has concluded, we will personally be stuffing JoyJars on September 9th with members of the Orange County community from all raised proceeds. Join Jessie’s cause and donate today. Any amount helps!
